teamLab Planets
About
In the Toyosu waterfront district, teamLab Planets is the more intimate sibling of teamLab Borderless — a single building containing four vast immersive art environments that visitors experience barefoot and in small groups. The journey begins by wading through knee-deep water reflecting an infinite field of flowers; subsequent rooms involve lying on a mirrored floor beneath cascading waterfalls of light, walking through a pulsating garden of digital plants that respond to touch, and standing inside a sphere of floating luminous orbs.
The experience lasts approximately 60-90 minutes. Advance booking is essential — tickets sell out weeks ahead and cannot be purchased at the door. Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet at the knees. The Toyosu location is a 10-minute walk from Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome line. The teamLab Borderless museum in Azabudai Hills (reopened 2024) offers a larger experience for those wanting more time in the space.
